Teachers assist students to access remote learning from their home school, or select activities for the student based on stage/age appropriateness, the student’s interests, any areas that need consolidation, and parental input. The activities during the morning sessions focus on literacy and numeracy skills, and the afternoon session focuses on the arts and games.
Students may attend the hospital schoolroom, or if this is not possible, due to illness or injury, school staff will assist students at their bedside. The school has a holistic approach to educating each student and provides Individualised Educational Plans based on syllabus outcomes in all key learning areas. Learning programs are modified to suit the individual student within the constraints of the illness or injury.
